Join us as we celebrate Black History Month!
Meet: Dr Marie O. Etienne the President of Florida Nurses Association.
Dr. Etienne is the first black & Haitian-American to hold this prestigious position.
Dr. Etienne wears many hats as a wife, mom, founder of Global Innovative Foundation, Advisor/ Past President of the Haitian American Nurses Association (HANA), member of the Black Nurses Association (BNA), and tenured nursing Professor at Miami-Dade College just to name a few.
In her latest role as President of FNA she is charged to lead, empower and advocate for the current as well as future generations of nurses to come. She has a heart built for nursing and has spent many years caring for others especially in disadvantaged communities such as medical missions in Dominican Republic, Haiti, and locally in FL farmlands in Immokalee providing healthcare access to local migrant farm workers. She is an asset to FNA and we can’t wait to see her impact as the new President of FNA.
Congratulations Dr. Etienne
